Summer 2016 – Maryland Wedding
I remember meeting Emily and Mike at the coffee shop last winter and feeling very excited and thankful to be in their presence. This pair is kind, ever so genuine and very much in love.
They told me about how they met, and the many blooming facets of their kinship…..from working on their home together, to their work passions, Mikes love of photography, and the affinity they share for their pup. This pair has the most loving & playful spirit, one that is a joy to be in the presence of- as they put you at ease 🙂
Mike and Emily planned a wedding that was incredibly thoughtful- and such a wonder amidst challenging school deadlines and work schedules (you two are truly incredible- and congratulations Doctor Emily)…….
On a hot summer night in Baltimore, friends and family were invited to the Rawlings Conservatory where they were greeted with hugs, delicious food (zucchini bread, fig jam, so many things), the aroma of locally sourced flowers and herbs sitting upon recycled/re-purposed tables, Dangerously Delicious pies, and the other-wordly flora and fauna of Baltimore’s best-kept secret. As lightning and thunder began to bear down, Emily & Mike walked hand in hand down a candle lit aisle where they shared handwritten vowels, rings, and a kiss to mark their marriage. They danced back into the greenhouse, so full of joy, as many in the crowd were weeping.
The party was under way -rain adding to the magic, fevered dancing and laughter taking ahold of the time racing by- I felt so happy to be at this celebration and cannot express how much thanks and LOVE I wish this couple and all of their lovely friends and family. Thank you for letting me photograph with you, it was an honor.
Fall 2014 – Maryland Wedding
Congratulations to Casey and Alex! This lovely couple celebrated their nuptials with family and friends at the Baltimore Zoo. Their wedding day began in downtown Baltimore. Guests traveled from near and far and a pair of sisters & dear friends helped Casey into her wedding dress. Special heirlooms were shared from generations past. The weather was lovely outside & the light was incredible. The bridal parties hopped into their rides headed towards Druid Hill Park.
Alex and Casey’s ceremony took place by the water. Intimate vowels were read following a duo of poignant speeches. After the ceremony was sealed with a romantic kiss, the couple spent their first few married moments with a kookaburra and a energy-filled penguin. Their wedding night gave way to amazing speeches full of love-filled, thoughtful and funny moments. And this crowd could dance! Everyone was on the floor, laughing, hugging, enjoying cake, amazing savory dishes and good music. As the night rushed on, the couple made an exit under a glowing stream of lights. Nick & I wish you so much happiness C and A- cheers to an amazing wedding and thanks so much for letting us shoot!
I wanted to send a big cheers out to all the amazing couples who celebrated their nuptials this fall or had a go with an e-session. It has been a privilege to spend time with you and to witness the best dance parties in town, the most poetic nuptials, & the early morning sunlight. Spending time with you has been an honor, thank you!

Congratulations to Katelyn and Zach! This super sweet pair was married in Bel Air, Md. this past summer. The day began at Katelyn’s home…her father, mother, best friend, aunt, lovely flower girl and grandmother helped her get ready. As the ladies aided K into her dress, her Grandmom showed us the very special “something blue” that she had stitched into her gown. Katelyn was stunning. She walked down the aisle with her father as golden light streamed through the windows. Guests rose from their seats to take pictures & Zach had the hugest smile. Following a ceremony filled with laughter, sweet glances and thoughtful readings, everyone traveled to Mountain Branch for an amazing party!
A glow from the stringed lights & brightly colored flags welcomed the guests upon their arrival. The evening kicked off with a speech from Katelyn’s father, Zach’s brother, and Katelyn’s aunt. Each speech was poetic, hilarious, warm and fun. First dances began and guests were invited to join the bride and her father on the dance floor. The most amazing cake (and most delicious Groom’s cake too) were nestled into a corner as were other exciting details…burlap napkin holders, a “you can dance” punch (that worked, everyone was an amazing dancer!), brightly colored straws, flowers in jars, so many great details. Best of all was Katelyn & Zach & their family and friends. What amazing energy this day and night had! The dance floor was electrified..illuminated from the energy of brotherly dance offs, thriller– inspired choreography (yay Dj Doug!), a conga line onto the golf course and an epic group hug to end the night! Cheers to everyone, what a great wedding! Congratulations K & Z!
Nice ring pic’s from Nick!

Ami and John are an amazing couple with an amazing family! Everyone was so lovely and we had so much fun shooting their wedding day at the Cathedral on Charles Street. Following the ceremony (soaked in cyan light from the stained glass) we headed over to the Guilford Gardens. The couple ended their festivities with incredibly delicious food at Cinghiale. Here is a sneak peak!
